What Is Intuitive Design?
What is an intuitive design (ID)?
In broad terms intuitive design refers to the creation of websites and applications that are simple to use. This is accomplished through a process of user research that results in the identification of existing stereotypes and expectations. Designers then have to take into account these stereotypes and expectations to create an interface that is tailored to the experience of the user. This is achieved through creating an interface that users can follow.
To accomplish this it is necessary that the UI must be organized so that all information and tasks can be reached easily without the need to navigate a menu warren. This is achieved by placing elements on the screen that are logically related to one another and by providing feedback while the user completes a task. This helps them avoid mistakes and gain a feel for how the software should function.
User experience (UX) is, therefore, is essential for a user-friendly design. Users are quick to leave products that do not match their mental models for the user interface. This may lead to a bad impression of your brand.
The best way to improve the user experience of your product is by performing user research and conducting in-app surveys. This lets you collect both quantitative and qualitative data that will reveal how to make your product more user-friendly and easy to use. This will ultimately lead to a higher level of customer satisfaction and increased conversion rates.
